We made this camp look like a place of joy with murals and more

What: Winners Camp Restoration #5 - Mural Weekend

When: September 4, 5 & 6 starting at 8am to 10:30am on Monday

Where: Winners camp - top of Kamehame Dr.

RUFF SCHEDULE OF THE DAY:

8am gates opens. - its so much easier if everyone comes at the same time.

8am Work on projects to about 11am

11am Lunch

11:30ish Option to take a quick hike and see the amazing view

12:00pm back to work

4:00pm wrap up and start cooking dinner

after sunset. outline the mural on the buildings

WHAT WE FIXING: (MORE INFO HERE)

MURAL

• Prep

  • Take off all the screens buildings 2-4

  • Wipe down the walls and scrape as needed

• Base Coat (with in 1/2 inch) on sides of buildings 1 and 4, Paint shed

  • Chalk out base color pattern

  • Paint base color - lightest of the colors usually

  • 2nd quick coat

• Paint Second Detail (with in 1/4 inch)

  • Use a projector and trace out image

  • Fill in image with second lightest color

  • 2nd quick coat

• Paint Third detail (people) (within 1/8 inch)

  • Use a projector and trace out image

  • Fill in image with third lightest color

  • 2nd quick coat

• Finish up

  • Touch up all 3 colors

  • add details like defined edges, jewelry, flower,

  • put the screens back on
