Essential tools for a small workshop

I get asked a lot what tools people should have in their house. The answer is all of them. Each tool makes every other tool more valuable. A box cutter makes needle nose pliers better. (You will figure out how if you own both) That being said people never get all the tools so here is my list in order of what to get. You get to decide where to stop.

List of tools to buy in order:

Tool Philosophy

Buy the cheapest tools possible to start. When you break a tool that means you loved that tool enough to use it that much. Now you get to buy a good version of that tool.
